Gender bias and inequality in the workplace is not a new problem. Despite its longstanding presence, this problem continues to linger, impacting the professional growth and opportunities of women worldwide. Only 12% of paid executive officers in publicly held companies are women. Andrea Kramer and Alton Harris join Kevin to discuss their approach to addressing this problem. They argue that traditional anti-bias training programs are ineffective. You can’t tell someone, don’t do that. Instead, they suggest eliminating exclusionary behaviors and biases from organizational policies and practices.
